Nazia attained her Bachelor of Laws degree and Professional Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of the South Pacific in December 2016. She was admitted to the High Court of Fiji in February 2017. She joined the Howard’s commercial team in April 2022 and is currently practicing in the areas of commercial law.

Prior to joining Howards Lawyers, Nazia spent 5 years at the Office of the Attorney-General with experience in cyber law, climate change and international law, civil and commercial law, human rights law, policy development, legal/legislative drafting with a proven track record in civil advocacy, policy development and project management, contracts and procurement, compliance and risk management, policy-based loans and negotiations, debt management and recovery while managing an active litigation caseload covering different Government ministries, departments and statutory bodies in all tiers of court in the civil jurisdiction in Fiji.

Nazia was accredited as a legal advisor to the Fijian Government at various international conferences including UNFCCC Conference of Parties, World Bank and Asian Development Bank Annual Meetings. Nazia was appointed as one of the 4 members of the Housing Authority Independent Public Inquiry Committee that conduced nationwide consultations in relation to alleged fraudulent transactions and irregularities related to the sale of housing authority plots. Nazia has also represented Fiji at various international negotiations (climate change and loan negotiations) and conferences
